REX ROOTER is a TAKAGI tankless water heater warranty plumbing company and we ONLY install TAKAGI tankless water heaters. We are trained in installation, troubleshooting and repairs. There are many requirements for proper installation and codes that are updated annually that must be followed. Because the tankless water heaters require so much volume of gas, at short durations, a ¾ inch gas supply piping must be installed to the unit. Since all tankless units are forced air venting with an electronic fan, it must be vented with a special stainless steel venting. Normal tank water heaters use ½ inch gas line and a 3 inch galvanized venting making it harder to install a tankless in the existing location of a normal tank water heater. We pull permits for all our tankless installations due to the upsizing of the gas piping, the rerouting of water supply and the specialized venting. Since the units use electricity, an electrical outlet with a GFCI plug must be installed in the area of the unit. We install a descaler filter on every tankless to increase the performance and lifespan. A tankless water heater is great for extra large bathtubs and large families that use large amounts of water daily. We have installed 10 TAKAGI tankless waters in nine years and we have not had to do one repair! We simply believe that TAKAGI is the best tankless on the market!
